On September 11th, a promotion meeting for the construction of a tooling highland in Shandong Province was held in Beijing. This conference aims to gather the wisdom of the government, enterprises and academia, build a high-level platform for exchanges and cooperation, accurately diagnose and scientifically Orient the tooling industry in Shandong, and jointly draw a new blueprint for the high-quality development of the industry.

Leaders and experts from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China National Textile and Apparel Council, the China National Garment Association and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology were invited to provide guidance for Shandong in building a national highland of workwear from aspects such as policy orientation, industry analysis and technical support. The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province introduced the fundamental advantages and the next steps for Shandong to build a highland of workwear. Weihai City presented the current development status of its workwear industry. The Market Regulation Bureau of Shandong Province introduced the work situation of the standardization construction of textile and garment in Shandong Province. Dishang Group, the chair unit of the Shandong Workwear Industry Development Alliance, reported on the preparatory work for the establishment of the Kaiyuan Workwear Innovation Research Institute. Representatives from the provincial trade union, the provincial Department of Commerce, the provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the provincial Market supervision and administration bureau, the government of Xiajin County, and key state-owned enterprises exchanged their practices and suggestions in supporting the development of the workwear industry.

At the meeting, the People's Government of Weihai City and the China National Garment Association signed an agreement to jointly build a workwear highland. China Emerging Import & Export Corporation and Dishang Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement. All parties joined hands to jointly open up a new situation of coordinated development and regional linkage. The Kaiyuan Tooling Innovation Research Institute was launched and established at the meeting. Based on the height of Shandong Province and the industry, it gathers the forces of government, industry, academia and research to build a national-level open innovation platform, providing innovation support and platform guarantee for the high-quality development of the tooling industry in Shandong and even the whole country.
