Nonwoven fabrics are made of polyester fibers and can be used in different industries, such as sound insulation, heat insulation, electric heaters, masks, clothing, medical and filling materials. How is nonwoven fabric flame retardant?

There are two main methods for nonwoven fabrics to achieve flame retardant function:

1. Through polymer polymerization, blending, copolymerization, composite spinning and grafting modification, flame retardants with flame retardant function are added to the fiber. Preparation of fiber flame retardants.

2. Apply the flame retardant to the surface of the fabric or penetrate into the fabric through post-finishing.

The flame retardant effect of non-woven fabrics is achieved by adding flame retardants. For flame retardants used on nonwovens, they must meet the following conditions:

1.Low toxicity and durable, can make the product meet the flame retardant standard requirements;

2. Good thermal stability, less smoke, can meet the requirements of non-woven fabrics;

3. Do not significantly reduce the original performance of non-woven fabrics;

4. The price is very cheap, which helps to reduce the cost.

Nonwovens are made from textile short fibers or filaments that are oriented or randomly arranged to form a mesh structure and then reinforced by mechanical, thermal bonding or chemical methods.
